As an English learner, aformer employee in a multicultural enterprise, an interpreter, a researcherand practitioner of Psychological Education, an English teacher of 5 years' teaching experience, I deeply understand why it is difficult for Chinese to learn English and how to help them.
If you had never seena tree, you wouldn’tknow what it was, even if you learned the word of tree. This is meaningless. Instead, you should first build up the culture, thinking patterns and scenes contained in the language before you learn it.Then the next stepis to teach. From my point of view, every coin has two sides, which also happens on humans, thus what makes education works is to motivate students’ "bright side" in a reasonable way, and that can finally make all of them become active in learning! As the old saying goes : “A mediocre teacher tells ,a good teacher explains ,and a great teacher inspires”.
若不见树，方知树为何物？即便学生学会“tree”,也是毫无意义的。若学好语言，先要对语言所蕴含的文化、思维、场景进行认知搭建。之后，才是如何教的问题。我的眼中，每一个人（学生）有“善”与“恶”，教育就是运用合理方法激发出他们的“善”，最终能让他们变得积极主动起来！西方人有句俗话说“A mediocre teacher tells ,a good teacher explains ,and a great teacher inspires”.(平庸老师告知、好老师解释、最棒的老师启发)。
